She is a red carpet style icon.
And Gwyneth Paltrow even refused to hang up her glam heels during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night, despite breaking her foot.
The 44-year-old actress had to avoid walking on stage for her interview after her painful injury, instead climbing over the sofa.
Rather than making a grand entrance from backstage like the rest of the guests, Gwyneth scrambled over the furniture so that she didn’t have to walk in her heels.
When asked how she broke her foot by host Jimmy Kimmel, she said with a laugh: ‘I was rushing around my house and I was trying to pack my son for a fifth grade retreat, and I collided with the sofa. I’ve gotta stop this toe-breaking thing!’
This isn’t the first time the A-lister has broken a bone as she has admitted she’s regularly walking into things.
She explained: ‘I’ve broken toes probably about eight or 10 times.’
‘Maybe you’re drinking too much,’ Kimmel joked. ‘Is that possible?’
In a new interview with The Edit, Gwyneth admitted she loves to loosen up her strict diet and fitness regime, confessing she tucks into cheese baguettes and fries.
In recent years Gwyneth has reinvented herself as a luxury lifestyle and wellness guru with her GOOP brand, and admits she’s well aware of the backlash she’s received from some quarters over her lifestyle tips.
She told the magazine: ‘It’s got a few layers to it. People were fine with me as an actress, but with Goop it was like, “Stay in your lane.” Women in general get a lot of pushback, especially if you’re successful and attractive.
‘I’m not saying I’m attractive. I mean when you’re considered attractive.’
She added: ‘I can’t be on a cleanse all the time… I did one for seven weeks last year and it was awful,’ before launching into her daily diet.
‘My first meal of the day is normally lunch; I keep it light on carbs so my energy levels don’t peak and valley through the day.’
