Phillip Schofield threw his hands up to his face in embarrassment after throwback footage of him from 1984 resurfaced on This Morning.
The silver-haired TV host, 55, squirmed in his seat as co-host Holly Willoughby cheekily played an old clip where he sported a slick retro blazer and huge oversized glasses.
‘Good evening and welcome to the 1984 New Zealand Music Awards,’ he can be heard saying, leaving him red-faced and Holly in a fit of giggles.
Describing the video as ‘the best footage I have ever seen’, Holly gave viewers a closer look at the hilarious throwback video on her phone.
Clearly unaware that the clip would be shown, Phillip looked mortified as he sheepishly lent forward and held his head in shame.
‘How good is that? Those glasses!’ Holly hysterically noted, while viewers compared the image to Brains from Thunderbirds.
Giggling along to other fans’ reactions to the old school image, Holly mentioned: ‘Honestly you lot are so brilliant.
‘Somebody said he looks like Brains, how high is his hair. If you don’t know what I’m talking about we’re going to play it again properly.’
Meanwhile, the twosome were dealt another unexpected blow after the This Morning studio leaked slightly due to the grim weather.
‘It’s raining inside!’ Holly proclaimed after the two fittingly wrapped up a segment on the wrong June weather predictions from their resident ‘weather guru’.
Phil ran to the floor near the wall which sported a wet patch.
‘There were three buckets on the other side of the pillar. It made a noise during our chats so they’ve taken it. But it’s sopping down here,’ he hilariously noted.
